February 26, 2015

GLMRIS - Brandon Road Scoping Comments Now Available

A public comment period on the proposed GLMRIS - Brandon Road effort ran from November 17, 2014 through January 30, 2015. USACE sought input and gathered concerns, issues, and needs related to the study from stakeholders, tribes, and the public through the NEPA scoping process.

The GLMRIS - Brandon Road effort will assess the viability of establishing a single point to control the one-way, upstream transfer of aquatic nuisance species from the Mississippi River basin into the Great Lakes basin near the Brandon Road Lock and Dam located in Joliet, Illinois.

Public comments submitted during this period are now available on this website. A summary document, which presents an overview of the public comments received during this period, will be posted at a later date.

Public comments received during the public comment period, public meeting materials, public meeting transcripts and other information pertaining to the GLMRIS Brandon Road effort can be found on the Brandon Road page.
