February 5, 2018

Draft GLMRIS-BR Report Comments and Meeting Transcripts Now Available

A public comment period on the Great Lakes and Mississippi River Interbasin Study – Brandon Road Draft Integrated Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Statement – Will County, IL (Draft GLMRIS-BR Report) ran from August 7, 2017, through December 8, 2017. USACE received comments from stakeholders, tribes, and the public through public meetings, the GLMRIS website, mail, and hand-delivery.

The Draft GLMRIS-BR Report evaluates options and technologies near the Brandon Road Lock and Dam site in Will County, Illinois, near Joliet, to prevent the upstream transfer of ANS from the Mississippi River Basin into the Great Lakes Basin, while minimizing impacts to existing waterway uses and users.

Public comments received during the comment period and public meeting transcripts are now available on this website. USACE will consider all comments received in preparing the Final GLMRIS-BR Report.

The Draft GLMRIS-BR Report, public comments received during the public comment period, public meeting materials, public meeting transcripts and other information pertaining to the GLMRIS Brandon Road effort can be found on the Brandon Road page.
