ANS Control Screening Public Comments

USACE solicited public comment for the screened ANS Controls identified in the Inventory of Available Controls for Aquatic Nuisance Species of Concern – Chicago Area Waterway System (ANS Control Paper). The public comment period opened January 18, 2013, and closed February 21, 2013.

USACE requested information on ANS Controls that may be effective at preventing the transfer through the Chicago Area Waterway System of fish, algae, crustaceans and plants in all life stages but are missing from the lists on the ANS Control Screening page, or comments regarding ANS Controls identified.

Comments were received through an online comment form. USACE considered the submitted information as it refined the list of ANS Controls available for alternative development.
